Έξι διακρίσεις κατέκτησαν ισάριθμες ελληνικές επιχειρήσεις – 4 ξενοδοχεία, η Aegean και η HotelBrain – στα ευρωπαϊκά World Travel Awards. Τα βραβεία απομενήθηκαν σε ειδική τελετή-γκαλά που πραγματοποιήθηκε αυτό το Σαββατοκύριακο στο Forte Village Resort στη Σαρδηνία.
Ειδικότερα, ευρωπαϊκούς τίτλους κατέκτησαν η εταιρία HotelBrain (κατηγορία Κορυφαίας Εταιρίας Ξενοδοχειακής Διαχείρισης στην Ευρώπη), το Grand Resort Lagonissi (κατηγορία Κορυφαίο Πολυτελές Resort στην Ευρώπη για γαμήλιο ταξίδι), η Aegean (κατηγορία Κορυφαίας Αεροπορικής Εταιρίας στηνΕυρώπη), το Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas (κατηγορία Κορυφαίων Βιλών Resort στην Ευρώπη), το Elounda Bay Palace (κατηγορία Κορυφαίου Παραθαλάσσιου Resort στην Ευρώπη) και το Porto ZanteVillas & Spa (κατηγορία Κορυφαίου Resort με Βίλες στην Ευρώπη).
Επιλέον, άλλες 18 διακρίσεις απονεμήθηκαν σε ελληνικές επιχειρήσεις στο πλαίσιο των World Travel Awards, για την αριστεία τους σε εθνικό επίπεδο.
